Claremont announces sponsorship of JLG Racing
The Claremont Hotel are proud to announce their sponsorship of a local road racing team JLG Racing.
The Team
JLG Racing is a small Privateer Road Racing Team which is backed by a local family from Castletown who run under the banner of NCE Racing, the team consists of a fantastic and dedicated group of people that all thrive on the love of motorcycle road racing. To date, the team have achieved a number of creditable results, some of which include podium finishes at the Manx Grand Prix, Tandragee 100, Cookstown 100 & Scarborough’s Oliver’s Mount. Top 10 results have been achieved at the Southern 100, North West 200 and the International Road Race Championships held across Europe.
The Rider
Jamie Williams was born on the Isle of Man and then spent a period of his childhood in Ireland. Having had a passion for riding motorbikes from a very young age, in 2015 Jamie decided to set up what has become his pride and joy, JLG Racing.
Whilst working his way up through various short circuit race meetings in the early days of his racing career, he obtained his national license and made his pure road race debut at the 2016 Manx Grand Prix. Seven years on from that debut and Jamie is now an International Road Racer who travels all over Europe with his team to compete at the biggest motorcycle road racing events on the calendar.
2024 Season
2024 promises to be a pivotal year for Jamie and the team, a new Honda CBR600RR by NCE Racing has been tested and tuned over the winter months and Jamie has his first opportunity to competitively race the new Honda this weekend in Hengelo, Netherland’s competing in the first round of the International Road Racing Championships.
The entire Claremont Team wish Jamie and the Team the best of luck for the remainder of this season and look forward to welcoming him back the Island and The Claremont Hotel next month.
